OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL OIL COOLER

    A0055DD

    1. Install the oil cooler to the continuously variable transaxle with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }
    2. A0059CD

      Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses to the oil cooler.

      Note

      Push on the 2 water by-pass hoses to the second rib on each oil cooler pipe.

  2. INSTALL OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the oil cooler tube with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    2. Connect the No. 3 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 3 oil cooler outlet hose to the oil cooler tube and radiator.

      Note

      Make sure the pinching portion of each clip is facing the direction shown in the illustration and the paint marks are aligned as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the 2 oil cooler inlet hoses and 2 oil cooler outlet hoses to the oil cooler inlet tube and oil cooler outlet tube.

      Note

      Make sure the pinching portion of each clip is facing the direction shown in the illustration and the paint marks are aligned as shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect the oil cooler inlet tube and oil cooler outlet tube to the transmission oil cooler hose assembly.

      Note

      Make sure the pinching portion of each clip is facing the direction shown in the illustration and the paint marks are aligned as shown in the illustration.

      Connect the 2 transmission oil cooler hoses to the oil cooler tube.

      Note

      Make sure the pinching portion of each clip is facing the direction shown in the illustration and the paint marks are aligned as shown in the illustration.

    4. Connect the 2 oil cooler inlet hoses and 2 oil cooler outlet hoses to the transaxle and oil cooler.

      Note

      Make sure the pinching portion of each clip is facing the direction shown in the illustration and the paint marks are aligned as shown in the illustration.

  4. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER

  5. INSTALL BATTERY


    1. Install the battery tray.

    2. Install the battery.

    3. Install the battery clamp with the bolt and tighten the nut.

      Torque:
      for bolt
      17 N*m  { 168 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf }
      for nut
      3.5 N*m  { 36 kgf*cm, 31 in.*lbf }
    4. Connect the cable to the positive (+) battery terminal.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  8. ADD CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID


    1. Add continuously variable transaxle fluid Click here.

  9. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

    Click here

  10. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  12. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER

  13. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER
