PROCEDURE
REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
except Rough Road Area Specification Vehicles:
Remove the 8 clips and fold back the engine under cover.
Tech Tips
It is not necessary to fully remove the engine under cover. Partially remove it so that the oil can be replaced in a later step.
REMOVE FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER (for Rough Road Area Specification Vehicles)
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for Rough Road Area Specification Vehicles)
DRAIN MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL

Remove the filler plug and gasket.
Remove the drain plug and gasket to drain the manual transaxle oil.
Install a new gasket and the drain plug.
ADD MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL
Add oil until the oil level is within 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the bottom of the transmission filler plug opening.

Install a new gasket and the transmission filler plug.
Note
When adding transaxle oil, make sure the vehicle is level.
An excessively large or small amount of oil may cause problems.
After adding oil, drive the vehicle and recheck the oil level.
INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for Rough Road Area Specification Vehicles)
INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER (for Rough Road Area Specification Vehicles)
INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
except Rough Road Area Specification Vehicles:
Install the engine under cover with the 8 clips.
