DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER

    Click here

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  3. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

    Click here

  4. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH AND RH

    Click here

  5. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET


    1. Remove the 3 bolts and bracket.

  6. REMOVE TRANSAXLE HOUSING OIL SEAL LH AND RH

    1. Using SST, tap out the oil seal LH.

    2. A0057S7E06

      Using SST, tap out the oil seal RH.

  7. INSTALL TRANSAXLE HOUSING OIL SEAL LH AND RH

    A005835E01

    1. Coat the lip of a new oil seal LH with MP grease.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal LH.

      09950-70010   ( 09951-07150 )
      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the oil seal lip.

    3. A0055D9E01

      Coat the lip of a new oil seal RH with MP grease.

    4. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal RH.

      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the oil seal lip.

  8. INSTALL DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET


    1. Install the drive shaft bearing bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      64 N*m  { 650 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf }
  9. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH AND RH

    Click here

  10. ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

    Fluid type
    Toyota Genuine ATF WS
  11. INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL

    Click here

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  13. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER
