SPEED LIMITER SYSTEM Speed Limiter System does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

When the warning canceling switch is turned on, the ECM will illuminate the speed limiter indicator light and activate the speed limiter system. Each function of the speed limiter system can be activated by operating the cruise control switch. While the cruise control system is operating, the speed limiter system will not activate.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Turn the cruise control switch on.

    3. Check the operation of each function by operating the cruise control switch Click here.

      OK
      Each function of the cruise control system operates normally.

    GO TO CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Click here

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (WARNING CANCELING SWITCH)


    1. Use the Data List to check if the warning canceling switch is functioning properly.

      Disconnect the D70 switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the A40 ECM connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      D70-6 (E) - Body ground
