DESCRIPTION

The vehicle proximity notification warning system may not function when there is a problem with the power supply of the vehicle approaching speaker controller.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuse for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER - IG1 NO. 2 RELAY)


    1. Disconnect the I71 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I71-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I71-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK
