INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN


    1. Remove the 4 screws <D> or <E> and 4 No. 1 instrument panel pins.

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    When storing the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.


    1. A01HVZ2

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. A01HV7V

      Lean the instrument panel safety pad assembly and disengage the 3 hooks.

    3. A01HU9E

      Disengage the 3 hooks to remove the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly from the instrument panel safety pad assembly.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. A01HSTR

      Remove the clip.

    2. Remove the 3 screws <D> or <E> and No. 1 heater to register duct.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT


    1. A01HV5T

      Remove the screw <D> or <E>.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 1 side defroster nozzle duct.

  5. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. A01HUBE

      Remove the clip.

    2. Remove the 3 screws <D> or <E> and No. 3 heater to register duct.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT


    1. A01HTHI

      Remove the screw <D> or <E>.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 2 side defroster nozzle duct.

  7. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Disengage the 8 clamps and remove the antenna cord sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HVI9

      Remove the 3 screws <D> or <E>.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the defroster nozzle assembly.

  9. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)


    1. A01HVW0

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the navigation antenna assembly.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. A01HU2P

      Remove the 2 screws <D> or <E> and No. 2 heater to register duct.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HSOP

      Remove the 2 screws <D> or <E>.

    2. Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 5 clips as shown in the illustration.

    4. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 8 clips to remove the No. 2 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
