DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects an open in the outer rear view mirror indicator LH.

    Both of the following conditions are met:

  • The blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.


  • The current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is being sent to the indicator.

  • Outer rear view mirror LH

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly LH

  • Wire harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor LH

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    NG

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH AND BODY GROUND) Click here

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the T10 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the K12 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T10-4 (OMIL) - K12-6 (BSL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      K12-5 (HL-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the IND2 outer rear view mirror LH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K12-6 (BSL+) - IND2-1 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      K12-5 (HL-) - IND2-2 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

    NG

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH Click here

    OK

  4. REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror LH Click here.

  5. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.
