DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects an open in the outer rear view mirror indicator RH.

    Both of the following conditions are met:

  • The blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.


  • The current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is being sent to the indicator.

  • Outer rear view mirror RH

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly RH

  • Wire harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor RH

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    NG

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH AND BODY GROUND) Click here

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the O28 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the J13 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O28-4 (OMIR) - J13-6 (BSR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J13-5 (HR-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR RH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH)


    1. Disconnect the IND1 outer rear view mirror RH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J13-6 (BSR+) - IND1-1 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J13-5 (HR-) - IND1-2 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

    NG

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH Click here

    OK

  4. REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR RH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror RH Click here.

  5. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.
