DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the navigation ECU sub-assembly receives a signal via CAN communication from the steering sensor that indicates a power supply problem.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • When "System initializing" is displayed on the navigation ECU sub-assembly after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point Click here.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed Click here.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING SENSOR POWER SUPPLY)

      Disconnect the I29 connector from the steering sensor.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I29-1 (ESS) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I29-4 (IG) - I29-1 (ESS) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      I29-5 (BAT) - I29-1 (ESS) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
