BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR PANEL TRIM ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 16 clips and remove the back door panel trim assembly.

  2. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP


    1. A01ELMD

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the rear wiper arm head cap as shown in the illustration.

  3. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the nut and the rear wiper arm and blade assembly.

  4. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET

      Remove the rear wiper motor grommet.

  5. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR AND BRACKET ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and the rear wiper motor and bracket assembly.

  6. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01EJKY

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts.

    3. A01EISE

      Disengage the 2 pins and remove the rear light assembly.

  7. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  8. REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

    2. Disconnect each connector.

    3. A01EL15

      Remove the 5 nuts.

    4. A01EL3R

      Disengage the 16 clips and remove the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

    5. Remove the 16 clips (back door moulding clip) from the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

    6. Remove the 5 gaskets and 5 stud bolts from the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR EMBLEM

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the No. 1 back door emblem.

    2. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    3. Disengage the guide and remove the No. 1 back door emblem.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the No. 2 back door name plate.

    2. Using a moulding remover, peel off the double-sided tape to remove the No. 2 back door name plate.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  11. REMOVE BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Remove the back door opener switch assembly.

  12. REMOVE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear View Monitor System)

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the television camera assembly.
