DESCRIPTION

The DTC is stored when the headlight leveling ECU assembly detects malfunctions in the rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH power source or rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

If either of the following is performed, initialization of the headlight leveling ECU assembly is necessary Click here.


  • Replacement of the headlight leveling ECU assembly.

  • Replacement or removal/installation of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH or work that changes the vehicle height such as replacement of suspension components.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2416 is not output.

    READ VALUE USING GTS Click here

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL Auto Leveling / Data List.

    5. Read the display on the GTS.

  3. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Remove the rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH Click here.

    2. Inspect the rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH Click here.

    REPLACE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Click here

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY - HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR RH)


    1. Disconnect the A40 headlight leveling ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the N1 rear height control sensor sub-assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A40-12 (SBR) - N1-3 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω
      A40-21 (SGR) - N1-1 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω
      A40-12 (SBR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A40-21 (SGR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
