POWER BACK DOOR TOUCH SENSOR REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE UPPER BACK WINDOW PANEL TRIM

      Disengage the 4 clips and 4 claws, and remove the upper back window panel trim.

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR PANEL TRIM ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 16 clips and remove the back door panel trim assembly.

  3. DISCONNECT POWER BACK DOOR ROD (for LH Side)

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, remove the stop ring along the groove.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Release the ball joint and disengage the power back door rod.

  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER

      Disengage the 2 clips and remove the back door trim cover LH.

  5. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR TOUCH SENSOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01ELT5

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts.

    3. Disengage the 2 clips.

    4. A01EIWR

      Tie a string to the wire near the connector of the power back door touch sensor assembly.

    5. Remove the power back door touch sensor assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Leave the string inside the back door frame because it will be used for installation.

    6. Untie the string from the power back door touch sensor assembly.
