DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) receives switch slide and tilt signals and drives its built-in motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • When the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) is reinstalled or replaced, the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly must be initialized Click here.

  • Since the sliding roof system uses LIN communication, first confirm that there is no malfunction in the communication system by inspecting the LIN communication functions in accordance with the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure Click here. Then, conduct the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (SLIDING ROOF OPERATION)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sliding Roof / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sliding Roof / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Disconnect the P4 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      P4-5 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      P4-5 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Disconnect the P6 switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the P4 ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
