POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM Touch Sensor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the power back door ECU receives a jam signal from the touch sensor while the power back door is operating, the ECU reverses the back door operation and opens the door.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (POWER BACK DOOR TOUCH SENSOR)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch to on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Data List.

    5. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the power back door touch sensor.

      Disconnect the R3 power back door touch sensor LH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (OSL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      2 (OSLE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Perform this inspection with the touch sensor installed on the vehicle.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      1 (OSL) - 2 (OSLE) Not pressed 950 to 1050 Ω
      1 (OSL) - 2 (OSLE) Pressed Below 100 Ω

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      R3-1 (OSL) - L20-15 (OSL) Always Below 1 Ω
      R3-2 (OSLE) - L20-14 (OSE) Always Below 1 Ω
      R3-1 (OSL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
