POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (for Rear Door) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system Click here.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws and remove the rear door inside handle bezel plug.

  3. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 5 claws.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.

  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01EKV3

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Using a clip remover, disengage the 8 clips.

    3. Pull out the rear door trim board sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow as shown in the illustration.

    4. Raise the rear door trim board sub-assembly and remove the rear door trim board sub-assembly together with the rear door inner glass weatherstrip.

      Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the rear door inside handle sub-assembly.

    6. for 13 Speakers:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01EL35

      Disconnect the rear door lock remote control cable assembly and rear door inside locking cable assembly, and remove the rear door inside handle sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. disengage the 2 clamps and remove the rear door service hole cover.

      Tech Tips

      Remove any remaining butyl tape from the door.

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN

      Remove the rear door glass run.

  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01EKAX

      Remove the hole plug.

    2. A01EL0LE01

      Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Loosen the temporary bolt.

      *1 Temporary Bolt
    4. Remove the bolt and rear door window division bar sub-assembly.

    5. Remove the temporary bolt from the rear door window division bar sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the hole plug.

    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and the rear power window regulator motor connector.

    3. Connect the power window regulator switch assembly and move the rear door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.

    4. Disconnect the power window regulator switch assembly and the rear power window regulator motor connector.

    5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

      Note

      After the bolts are removed, do not allow the door glass to fall.

    7. A01EJRVE01

      Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not damage the door glass.

  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

      *1 Temporary Bolt

      Loosen the temporary bolt.

      Note

      Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the rear door window regulator may fall and cause damage.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts.

    3. Remove the rear door window regulator assembly.

    4. Remove the temporary bolt from the rear door window regulator assembly.

  11. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      Using a T25 "TORX" driver, remove the 3 screws and the rear power window regulator motor assembly.
