FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    CAUTION:


    • Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Click here.

    • If the front seat side airbag assembly was deployed, replace the front seat side airbag assembly, front seat frame assembly with adjuster, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. A01EKRH

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 10 claws as shown in the illustration.

    3. A01EJM9

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws as shown in the illustration.

    4. A01ELV6

      Disengage the 2 guides and remove the front seatback board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

      *1 Bracket

      Turn back the separate type front seatback cover with pad to remove the nut and guide, and separate the bracket of the front seatback cover with pad.

      Disengage the 4 hooks.

    3. A01EJHQ

      Remove the 2 hog rings.

    4. A01EMA8

      Remove the 2 hog rings.

    5. A01ELNS

      Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    6. Remove the separate type front seatback cover with pad from the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 4 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.

    2. A01EJ7B

      Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.

    3. Remove the 2 nuts and front seat side airbag assembly.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the front seat frame assembly with adjuster is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
