  1. ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM


    1. The illuminated entry system has the following control functions:

      Control Outline Lights that Operate
      Actuation Area-linked*2 When a registered key enters any detection area around the doors, the lights that operate turn on.

      • Engine Switch Illumination

      • Roof Console Box Assembly

      • Step or Spot Light Assembly
      Door Control Transmitter-linked When any door is unlocked using the transmitter, the lights that operate turn on.

      • Transponder Key Amplifier*1

      • Engine Switch Illumination*2

      • Roof Console Box Assembly

      • Step or Spot Light Assembly
      Door Open-linked When any door is opened, the lights that operate turn on.

      • Transponder Key Amplifier*1

      • Engine Switch Illumination*2

      • Roof Console Box Assembly

      • Step or Spot Light Assembly
      Door Close-linked When all doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off.
      Door Lock-linked When all doors are locked, the lights that operate turn off.

      Ignition Switch-linked*1

      Engine Switch-linked*2

      		 When the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off, the lights that operate turn on.

      • Engine Switch Illumination*2

      • Roof Console Box Assembly

      • Step or Spot Light Assembly
      Battery Saving

      When 20 minutes elapse after the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.

      Tech Tips

      Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.


      • The ignition switch is turned to ACC or ON

      • Any door is opened and closed

      • The back door is opened and closed

      • Any door is unlocked

      • The key enters any exterior actuation area*2
