REAR VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the R21 rear television camera assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connector.

      Terminal No. (Symbol) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      R21-6 (CB+) - Body ground B - Body ground Power source
      • Ignition switch ON*1

      • Shift lever in R*1

      5.5 to 7.05 V
      Within 60 seconds of turning the ignition switch to ACC*2

      • *1: for Navigation Receiver Type

      • *2: for Radio and Display Type

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the R21 rear television camera assembly connector.

    4. Check for pulses between each terminal of the connector.

      Tech Tips

      A waterproof connector is used for the rear television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the navigation receiver assembly*1 or radio and display receiver assembly*2 with the connector connected.


      • *1: for Navigation Receiver Type

      • *2: for Radio and Display Type

      If the result is not as specified, the rear television camera assembly may be malfunctioning.
