DESCRIPTION

The radio and display receiver assembly and inner rear view mirror assembly (amplifier microphone assembly) are connected to each other using the microphone connection detection signal lines.

This DTC is stored when a microphone connection detection signal line is disconnected.

  1. INSPECT RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      E42-19 (MIN-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (AMPLIFIER MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY))


    1. Disconnect the E42 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the P12 inner rear view mirror assembly (amplifier microphone assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      E42-6 (SNS2) - P12-10 (SGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      E42-19 (MIN-) - P12-12 (MIC-) Always Below 1 Ω
      E42-6 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E42-19 (MIN-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
