VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Slip Indicator Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output Click here.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (SLIP INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Select the Active Test on the GTS Click here.

      Slip Indicator Light Slip indicator light Indicator light ON/OFF Observe accessory meter
    4. Check that the slip indicator light on the accessory meter turns on or off in accordance with the GTS operation.

      OK
      The slip indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the GTS operation.

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and check the slip indicator light will come on for approximately 3 seconds (initial check).

    3. Perform the Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using the GTS Click here.

    4. Check the accessory meter.
