FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE

  2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH


    1. A01ELHQ

      Remove the 2 bolts and front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH from the front frame assembly.

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

  4. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR WITH FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01EMFO

      Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and steering link assembly.

      Note

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.

  6. REMOVE FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY


    1. A01EJIR

      Disconnect the 2 clamps with the engine wire.

    2. A01EKTAE05

      Remove the 2 nuts and separate the engine mounting insulators RH and LH.

    3. A01ELR2

      Remove the bolt and separate the front engine mounting insulator.

    4. Remove the front frame assembly from the engine assembly with transaxle.

  7. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01EKZ1

      Remove the 2 hole plugs.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts and front engine mounting insulator assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine mounting insulator is necessary.

  8. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR LH


    1. A01EJJ6

      Remove the 2 hole plugs.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts and engine mounting insulator LH.

      Tech Tips

      Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine mounting insulator is necessary.

  9. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR RH


    1. A01EKGH

      Remove the 2 hole plugs.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts and engine mounting insulator RH.

      Tech Tips

      Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine mounting insulator is necessary.

  10. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR ASSEMBLY (for AWD)


    1. A01EKP2

      Remove the 2 hole plugs.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and transverse engine mounting insulator.

      Tech Tips

      Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine mounting insulator is necessary.

  11. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM LH


    1. A01EJO2

      Remove the 3 bolts, nut and front lower suspension arm from the front frame assembly.

    2. Remove the front lower arm bushing stopper from the front lower suspension arm.

  12. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER DYNAMIC DAMPER (for 2WD)


    1. A01EIM8

      Remove the 2 bolts and front suspension member dynamic damper.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BODY MOUNTING FRONT STOPPER

  15. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BODY MOUNTING REAR STOPPER

  16. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BODY MOUNTING FRONT CUSHION

      Install SST as shown in the illustration.

      *2 Hold

      Using SST, remove the front suspension member body mounting front cushion.

      Note


      • Make sure that the claws of SST are securely hung onto the mounting front cushion.

      • Tighten SST slowly and evenly.

      • Be careful as the mounting front cushion may fly out.

      • The mounting front cushion cannot be reused.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BODY MOUNTING REAR CUSHION LH

      Install SST as shown in the illustration.

      Using SST, remove the front suspension member body mounting rear cushion LH.

      Note


      • Make sure that the claws of SST are securely hung onto the mounting rear cushion.

      • Tighten SST slowly and evenly.

      • Be careful as the mounting rear cushion may fly out.

      • The mounting rear cushion cannot be reused.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BODY MOUNTING REAR CUSHION RH
