ENGINE SWITCH REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Pull the upper console panel sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 6 clips.

    2. Disconnect the connectors and remove the upper console panel sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX CARPET

      Remove the No. 2 console box carpet.

  4. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. A01EKCR

      Remove the screw and 2 clips.

    3. A01EJXQ

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    4. Disconnect the connectors and remove the console box assembly.

  5. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY

      Remove the screw.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.

    3. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 4 guides as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disconnect the connector and remove the air conditioning control assembly.

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

      Disengage the 3 clips, 7 claws and guide, and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

  7. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01EJEA

      Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH.

  8. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL


    1. A01EKDA

      Remove the bolt <C> and screw <E> or <F>.

    2. Disengage the claw and 9 clips.

    3. Disconnect the connectors.

    4. A01EITG

      Disconnect the connector and aspirator duct.

    5. A01EJS4

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel.

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  10. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Push the 3 claws in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage them.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt <C> and 4 screws <E> or <F>.

    2. A01EIMR

      Disengage the claw, 3 clips and 5 guides.

    3. Disconnect the connectors and remove the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.

  13. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01EK0N

      Turn the shift lever knob counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  14. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws <E> or <F>.

    2. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    3. Disconnect the connector.

    4. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    5. A01ELB3

      Disengage the 2 claws and 4 clips and remove the console box sub-assembly.

  15. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER


    1. A01EKV0

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Push the right and left sides of the lower steering column cover, and disengage the 2 claws to remove the lower steering column cover.

  16. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER


    1. A01EJEM

      Disengage the claw.

    2. A01EK5A

      Disengage the 4 clips and 2 guides to remove the upper steering column cover.

  17. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL


    1. A01EISD

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the instrument cluster finish panel.

  18. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. A01EK1A

      Disengage the 4 claws.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the lower instrument panel finish panel assembly.

  19. REMOVE ENGINE SWITCH


    1. A01EJ10E01

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the engine switch.
