CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

• The ECM detects a cruise control main switch signal and sends it to the combination meter assembly through CAN. Then the CRUISE main indicator light comes on.

• The CRUISE main indicator light circuit uses CAN for communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Active Test.

   5. Check the CRUISE main indicator light by performing the Active Test.

      The CRUISE main indicator light blinks or goes off according to GTS operation.

2. READ VALUE USING GTS

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.

   5. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the CRUISE main indicator light.
