SLIDING ROOF HOUSING REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedures for LHD and RHD vehicles.

  • The procedures listed below are for LHD vehicles.


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

  3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

  4. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)

      Detach the 2 clips and remove the deck trim side board LH.

  5. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

      *1 Fastening Tape

      Detach the clip, fastening tape and remove the battery service hole cover LH.

  6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Standard Body)

  9. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF SIDE AIR DUCT LH (w/ Rear Cooler)

      Remove the 3 clips and No. 1 roof side air duct LH.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF SIDE AIR DUCT RH (w/ Rear Cooler)

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH

    1. Detach the 5 claws and remove the sliding roof side garnish LH.

  14. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Using a T25 "TORX" driver, remove the 4 screws and sliding roof glass sub-assembly.

  16. REMOVE FRONT SLIDING ROOF GARNISH

    1. Detach the 5 claws and remove the front sliding roof garnish.

  17. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF PANEL PLATE

      Remove the 4 bolts and detach the 2 guides, and then remove the 2 sliding roof panel plates.

  18. REMOVE REAR SLIDING ROOF HOUSING MOUNTING BRACKET LH


    1. A01GXJ6

      Detach the clamp and disconnect the curtain shield airbag wire harness.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and rear sliding roof housing mounting bracket LH.

  19. REMOVE REAR SLIDING ROOF HOUSING MOUNTING BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  20. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY

      w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System:

      Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.

    2. Loosen the 12 bolts.

      Note

      Do not remove the bolts.

    3. Disconnect the 4 sliding roof drain hoses.

    4. Remove the 12 bolts, 8 nuts and sliding roof housing sub-assembly.
