ROCKER PANEL MOULDING REASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL ROCKER PANEL MOULDING RETAINER LH


    1. Attach the 4 guides to install the rocker panel moulding retainer LH.

  2. INSTALL NO. 3 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 3 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the body rocker panel moulding using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Body Rocker Panel Moulding 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the body rocker panel moulding excessively.


    1. Clean the body rocker panel moulding surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the body rocker panel moulding surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the body rocker panel moulding.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install a new No. 3 rocker panel moulding protector.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the body rocker panel moulding.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 3 rocker panel moulding protector.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        Install the No. 3 rocker panel moulding protector as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 3 rocker panel moulding protector firmly to install it.

  3. INSTALL NO. 4 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 4 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the body rocker panel moulding using a heat light.

    Body Rocker Panel Moulding 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the body rocker panel moulding excessively.


    1. Clean the body rocker panel moulding surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the body rocker panel moulding surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the body rocker panel moulding.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install 4 new No. 4 rocker panel moulding protectors.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the body rocker panel moulding.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 4 rocker panel moulding protector.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the No. 4 rocker panel moulding protector as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 4 rocker panel moulding protector firmly to install it.

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the body rocker panel moulding using a heat light.

      3. Install the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector firmly to install it.

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the body rocker panel moulding using a heat light.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector.

      3. Install the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector as shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector firmly to install it.

  6. INSTALL ROCKER PANEL MOULDING CLIP


    1. for Standard Body:

      Install the 10 rocker panel moulding clips.

    2. for Long Body:

      Install the 11 rocker panel moulding clips.
