REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING (for Long Body) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

INSTALL REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING LH
1. Attach the clip to install the new rear belt moulding.
2. Install the 5 screws.
  
  Tech Tips
  
  Install the screws in the order shown in the illustration.
3. Tighten the 5 belt line screws indicated by the arrows in the illustration.
4. Install a nose piece to an air riveter or hand riveter. Then insert the mandrel part of a new φ4 mm waterproof rivet into the nose piece.
5. Using the air riveter or hand riveter, install the 5 rivets shown in the illustration.
  Tech Tips
  
  The rivet labeled (A) is the second rivet from the front of the rear door window frame moulding.
  
  The rivet labeled (B) is the third rivet from the front of the rear door window frame moulding.
  
  The rivet labeled (C) is the fourth rivet from the front of the rear door window frame moulding.
  
  The rivet labeled (D) is the fifth rivet from the front of the rear door window frame moulding.
  
  The rivet labeled (E) is the sixth rivet from the front of the rear door window frame moulding.
  
  If the rivet cannot be cut, pull it once and cut it.
  Note
  
  Do not pry the rivet with the riveter, as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.
  
  Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the moulding.
  
  Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the moulding.
  
  Do not leave any space between the rivet head and moulding.
  
  Do not leave any space between the moulding and door frame. Firmly hold together the 2 items while installing the rivet.
INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

Note

Be careful not to drop and deform the rear door window regulator.
1. Install the rear door glass sub-assembly LH with the 2 bolts.
  
  Torque:
  
  5.5 N*m { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
  Tech Tips
  - Insert a cloth inside the door panel to prevent the door glass from being scratched.
  - Position the door glass toward the front as much as possible.
2. Install the hole plug.
INSTALL REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LH
1. Install the rear door quarter glass LH together with the rear door quarter window weatherstrip LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH
1. Install the rear door glass run LH to the division bar assembly.
INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
1. Install the rear door window division bar sub-assembly LH with the 2 nuts.
INSTALL REAR DOOR DIVISION BAR LOWER BRACKET LH
1. Install the 3 nuts and rear door division bar lower bracket LH bracket to the door panel.
INSTALL REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
1. Apply new butyl tape to the door.

  *a Reference Point
  
  Install a new rear door service hole cover LH using the reference points on the rear door panel.
  Tech Tips
  - When installing the service hole cover, pull the links and connectors through the service hole cover.
  - There should be no wrinkles or folds after attaching the service hole cover.
  - After attaching the service hole cover, check the sealing quality.
INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP LH
1. for Long Body:
  1. Install the rear door glass inner weatherstrip LH to the door panel.
2. for Standard Body:
  1. Install the rear door glass inner weatherstrip LH to the door panel.
INSTALL REAR SIDE TRIM BOARD COVER LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
1. Install the rear side trim board cover LH with the 2 screws.
INSTALL REAR CURTAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
1. for Standard Body:
  1. Connect the connector.
  2. Attach the 3 clips to install the rear curtain sub-assembly LH.
  3. Install the 10 screws.
2. for Long Body:
  1. Connect the connector.
  2. Attach the 4 clips to install the rear curtain sub-assembly LH.
  3. Install the 10 screws.
INSTALL REAR DOOR NO. 2 WEATHERSTRIP LH
1. Attach the clip to install the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip LH.
INSTALL REAR DOOR NO. 2 FRAME GARNISH LH
1. Attach the claws and install the rear door No. 2 frame garnish LH.
INSTALL REAR DOOR NO. 3 WEATHERSTRIP LH

  *1 Double-sided Tape
  
  Place double-sided tape on the rear door No. 3 weatherstrip LH as shown in the illustration.
2. Attach the 2 claws to install the rear door No. 3 weatherstrip LH.
INSTALL REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH
1. w/o Rear Door Sunshade:
  1. Attach the claws.
  2. Attach the clip to install the rear door frame garnish LH with screw.
2. w/ Rear Door Sunshade:
  1. Attach the claws.
  2. Attach the 2 clips to install the rear door frame garnish LH.
INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM COVER LH
1. Attach the 5 clips to install the rear door trim cover LH.
2. Install the cushion.
INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Rear Door Sunshade)
1. for Long Body:
  1. Connect the 2 cables to the inside handle.
  2. Connect the connector.
  3. Install the rear door trim board sub-assembly LH with the 3 screws and 13 clips.
2. for Standard Body:
  1. Connect the 2 cables to the inside handle.
  2. Connect the connector.
  3. Install the rear door trim with the 3 screws and 11 clips.
INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)
1. for Long Body:
  1. Connect the 2 cables to the inside handle.
  2. Connect the connector.
  3. Install the rear door trim board sub-assembly LH with the 3 screws and 14 clips.
2. for Standard Body:
  1. Connect the 2 cables to the inside handle.
  2. Connect the connector.
  3. Install the rear door trim board sub-assembly LH with the 3 screws and 12 clips.
INSTALL REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL
1. Install the illumination light with the screw.
2. Connect the connector.
3. Attach the 2 clips to install the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH
1. Attach the 3 claws to install the rear door inside handle bezel plug LH.
CONNECT CABLE TO AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

  Attach the battery service hole cover LH with the clip and fastening tape.
INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)
1. Attach the 2 clips to install the deck trim side board LH.
INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)
INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)
