FUEL LID OPENER SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. FUEL LID OPENER SYSTEM COMPONENT

    Components Function
    Main body ECU (driver side junction block) Transmits fuel lid open output request signal to rear junction block ECU
    Rear junction block ECU Receives fuel lid open output request signal from main body ECU (driver side junction block)
    Fuel lid opener switch Detects fuel lid opener switch operation and transmits data to main body ECU (driver side junction block)
    Fuel lid opening lid lock (fuel lid opener motor) Rotates according to control of rear junction block ECU and opens fuel filler door

  2. FUEL LID OPENER SYSTEM FUNCTION

    The fuel lid opener switch is located on the lower underside of the instrument panel. Using this switch, the fuel filler door can be opened.

    When a fuel lid opener switch signal is input to the main body ECU (driver side junction block), the main body ECU (driver side junction block) sends this signal to the rear junction block ECU. The main body ECU (driver side junction block), which receives different kinds of data using the CAN line, judges if the fuel filler door can be opened or not. When the judgment is made that the fuel filler door can be opened, a fuel lid open output request signal is sent to the rear junction block ECU. While the theft deterrent system is operating, the fuel filler door cannot be opened by the switch operation in order to prevent theft.
