POWER TRUNK LID SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:B2222, B2225

DESCRIPTION

• "PBD" refers to the power trunk lid.

• DTC B2222 is output in the following situations: 1) When the pulse sensor of the luggage closer motor has a malfunction and a normal waveform is not input into the pulse sensor during the power trunk lid operation, or 2) when there is a malfunction in the power trunk lid activation power supply.

• "Back door" refers to the luggage compartment door.

• DTC B2225 is output when there is malfunction in the clutch of the luggage closer motor, or when there is a malfunction in the power trunk lid activation power supply.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (PTL)

   
   

   1. Remove the PTL fuse from the luggage room junction block.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition PTL fuse Always Below 1 Ω

   
   

   NG

   REPLACE FUSE

   OK

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

   
   

   1. 

      Disconnect the S43 motor connector.

   2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition S43-11 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Standard voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition S43-12 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
