FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. Set the separate type front seat cushion cover in place.

    2. for Driver Side:

        *1 Hog Ring Pliers

        except Sport Package:

        Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the front seat cushion pad with 21 new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

        *1 Hog Ring Pliers

        for Sport Package:

        Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the front seat cushion pad with 17 new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

        Install the 2 clips.

    3. for Front Passenger Side:

      for Ottoman:

        Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with 21 new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

        Install the 2 clips.

    4. for Front Passenger Side:

      except Ottoman:

        Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with 21 new hog rings.

        Install the 2 clips.

  2. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Set the front seat cushion cover with pad in place.

    2. for Driver Side:

        Attach the 10 hooks to install the front seat cushion cover with pad.

      2. A01GWC6

        Attach the fastening tape.

      3. A01H0B4

        Install the 6 clips.

    3. for Front Passenger:

      for Ottoman:


      1. A01GYPM

        Attach the 10 hooks to install the front seat cushion cover with pad.

      2. A01GX6T

        Attach the fastening tape.

      3. A01GZRG

        Install the 6 clips.

    4. for Front Passenger:

      except Ottoman:


      1. A01GWYV

        Attach the 8 hooks to install the front seat cushion cover with pad.

    5. Connect the seat heater connector.

      Install the 2 clips.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GWZDE01

      Install the front seat cushion assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    2. Attach the hook.

      Attach the hook.

      Install the 2 clips.

    5. A01GXIA

      Connect the connector and attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    6. A01GYQ6

      Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

    7. A01GYQ8

      Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

    8. Attach the 4 claws to connect duct of the seat climate control blower LH.

    9. A01H1M8

      Connect the connector.

    10. A01GYWF

      Connect the duct of the seat climate control blower LH with the 3 screws.

    11. A01GYTY

      Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 6 air duct.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      *2 Wire Harness Clamp

      Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Attach the 2 hooks to install the front seatback board sub-assembly LH.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Attach the claw to install the front seat inner cushion shield LH.

    2. Install the 3 screws.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    *1 Protruding Part

    1. Install the front seat inner belt assembly LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding parts of the front seat adjuster.

    2. Attach the claw to connect the connector.

    3. Attach the 6 wire harness clamps.

    4. Connect the 2 connectors.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

      Install the front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield LH with the 3 screws.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Install the front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield RH with the 3 screws.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Connect the 2 connectors.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion shield LH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the 3 screws.

      Attach the rubber band of the front seatback board sub-assembly LH to the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

  11. CONNECT CABLE TO AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  12. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

      Attach the battery service hole cover LH with the clip and fastening tape.

  13. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)

      Attach the 2 clips to install the deck trim side board LH.

  14. INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)
