REAR SEATBACK HEATER (for Fixed Seat Type) INSTALLATION

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Click here.


  1. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK COVER


    1. for LH Side:


      1. Set the bench type rear seatback cover in place.

      2. Using hog ring pliers, install the bench type rear seatback cover to the bench type rear seatback pad with 30 new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the bench type rear seatback cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the bench type rear seatback cover.

    2. for RH Side:


      1. Set the bench type rear seatback cover in place.

      2. Using hog ring pliers, install the bench type rear seatback cover to the bench type rear seatback pad with 31 new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the bench type rear seatback cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the bench type rear seatback cover.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT WIRE RH


    1. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps labeled B.

    2. Install the 14 wire harness clamps labeled A to install the rear seat wire RH.

    3. Connect the 2 connectors.

  3. INSTALL REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH


    1. Install the rear seat climate control ECU LH with the 2 nuts.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

  4. INSTALL REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE LH


    1. Install the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH with the 3 screws.

  6. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 rear seat headrest supports.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the rear seat headrest support on the other side.

  8. INSTALL REAR SEAT ARMREST HOLE COVER


    1. Attach the 2 clips to install the rear seat armrest hole cover.

  9. INSTALL REAR CENTER SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear center seat headrest assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear seat headrest assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the rear seat headrest assembly on the other side.

  11. INSTALL REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear seat center armrest assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    2. Attach the wire harness clamp.

  12. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.


    1. Set the bench type rear seatback assembly in place.

      Connect the rear center armrest assembly connector.

    3. Attach the 2 hooks on the backside of the bench type rear seatback assembly.

    4. Install the 4 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Connect the connector.

      2. Install the junction block with the bolt.

        Torque:
        30 N*m  { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }

      Attach the hook to the rear seat armrest hole board. Then attach the 2 clips to install the rear seat armrest hole board.

      While pressing the button, raise the rear center seat headrest assembly.

    8. Raise the rear center armrest assembly.

      Connect the rear seat outer belt to the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to connect the rear seat outer belt on the other side.

    10. Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 caps of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to close the 2 caps on the other side.

      Connect the 2 seat belt anchors of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH and rear seat 3 point type belt assembly RH with the 2 bolts and connect the seat belt anchor of the rear center seat outer belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  13. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.


    1. Set the bench type rear seat cushion assembly in place.

      *A w/ Seat Heater System

      w/ Seat Heater System:

      Connect the 2 connectors.

    3. Attach the 2 rear hooks of the bench type rear seat cushion assembly to the bench type rear seatback assembly.

    4. Attach the 3 front hooks to install the bench type rear seat cushion assembly.

    5. Confirm that the bench type rear seat cushion assembly is firmly installed.

      Note

      When installing the bench type rear seat cushion assembly, make sure the seat belt buckle is not under the bench type rear seat cushion assembly.
