REAR SEATBACK HEATER (for Ottoman) INSTALLATION

  1. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEATBACK COVER LH


    1. Set the separate type rear seatback cover LH in place.

      *1 Hog Ring Pliers

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type rear seatback cover LH to the rear seatback pad LH with 10 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type rear seatback cover LH.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type rear seatback cover LH.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD LH


    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the rear seatback cover with pad to the rear seatback spring assembly LH with 19 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the rear seatback cover with pad.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the rear seatback cover with pad.

    2. Attach the 8 hooks.

    3. Connect the connector.

    4. Attach the seatback cover bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.6 N*m  { 57 kgf*cm, 50 in.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK BASE LH


    1. A01H0K4

      Install the rear seat lock base LH with the 3 screws.

  4. INSTALL REAR SEAT COVER CAP LH

      Attach the 5 claws to install the rear seat cover cap LH.

  5. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the guide to install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

    2. Connect the connector.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the seat heater control sub-assembly on the other side.

  6. INSTALL REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH

    1. Install the rear seat climate control ECU LH with the 2 nuts.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

  7. INSTALL POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the position control ECU assembly with the 2 nuts.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the position control ECU assembly on the other side.

  8. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the rear No. 1 seat headrest adjuster sub-assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors and attach the wire harness clamp.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the rear No. 1 seat headrest adjuster sub-assembly on the other side.

  9. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 rear seat headrest supports.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the rear seat headrest support on the other side.

  10. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the rear seat headrest assembly LH with the 2 pins.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the rear seat headrest assembly on the other side.

  11. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE LH

    1. Install the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH with the 3 screws.

  12. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEATBACK COVER RH


    1. Set the separate type rear seatback cover RH in place.

    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type rear seatback cover RH to the rear seatback pad with 22 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type rear seatback cover RH.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type rear seatback cover RH.

  13. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD RH


    1. Set the rear seatback cover with pad RH in place.

    2. Attach the 7 hooks.

    3. Using hog ring pliers, install the rear seatback cover with pad RH to the rear seatback spring assembly RH with 20 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the rear seatback cover with pad RH.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the rear seatback cover with pad RH.

    4. Connect the connector.

    5. Attach the seatback cover bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.6 N*m  { 57 kgf*cm, 50 in.*lbf }

  18. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Connect the rear seatback assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seatback adjuster assembly, and press down on the rear seatback assembly LH to install it to the rear No. 2 seatback adjuster assembly. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Install the rear seatback assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seatback adjuster assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    3. Install the clip and attach the 3 pieces of fastening tape.

      Connect the 3 connectors and attach the 7 wire harness clamps.

      Connect the 2 connectors.

    6. Install the junction block with the bolt.

      Torque:
      30 N*m  { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }

      Connect the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH to the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.

    8. Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 caps.

      Connect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly to overlap protruding parts of the floor panel.

  19. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Connect the rear seatback assembly RH to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly, and press down on the rear seatback assembly RH to install it to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Install the rear seatback assembly RH to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    3. Attach the clip and 3 pieces of fastening tape.

    4. Attach the 2 claws to connect the air hose.

    5. Install the nut.

      Connect the 3 connectors and attach the 6 wire harness clamps.

    8. Install the junction block with the bolt.

      Torque:
      30 N*m  { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }

      Install the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly RH to the rear seat shoulder belt guide RH.

    10. Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 caps.

      Note

  20. INSTALL REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST ASSEMBLY (w/ Center Seat)

      Connect the 2 connectors.

    2. Install the rear seat center armrest assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    3. A01GZWCE03

      Attach the hook to the center seatback frame wire.

    4. Attach the 2 clips to install the rear seat armrest hole board.

    5. A01H1N5

      While pressing the button, lower the rear center seat headrest assembly.

    6. Raise the rear seat center armrest assembly.

  21. INSTALL REAR CENTER SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (w/ Center Seat)


    1. A01GYL5

      Attach the rear hook of the center seat cushion assembly to the center seatback frame sub-assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Attach the front hook of the rear center seat cushion assembly to the vehicle body.

  22. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX (w/ Rear Console Box)

  23. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GWEX

      Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the rear hook of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to the rear seatback frame assembly LH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    3. Attach the 2 front hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly.

  24. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    2. Operate the ottoman switch to move the ottoman to the return position.

    3. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

      Connect the connector.

    5. Attach the rear hook of the rear seat cushion assembly RH to the rear seatback spring assembly RH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    6. Attach the 2 front hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly RH to the the rear No. 1 seat adjuster assembly.

    7. Connect the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks.

    8. Connect the seat cushion ottoman part with the 2 nuts.

    9. Install the 2 seat cushion cover hooks.

  25. CONNECT CABLE TO AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  26. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
