FRONT SEATBACK HEATER REMOVAL

Tech Tips

for Driver Side:

Operate the power seat switch to move the cushion length adjustment to the foremost position.
for Ottoman (Front Passenger Side):

Operate the power seat switch to move the ottoman to the foremost position.
Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PRECAUTION

Note

After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)
REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)
REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)
1. Detach the 2 clips and remove the deck trim side board LH.

REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

Detach the clip, fastening tape and remove the battery service hole cover LH.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH
1. Release the rubber bands of the seatback board sub-assembly LH from the front seat adjuster assembly LH.
2. Remove the 3 screws.
3. Detach the 2 claws to remove the front seat cushion shield LH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.
4. Disconnect the 2 connectors.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)
1. Remove the 3 screws and front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield LH.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

  Remove the 3 screws and front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield RH.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.
2. Detach the 6 wire harness clamps.
3. Detach the claw and disconnect the connector.

4. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly LH.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH
1. Remove the 3 screws.
2. Detach the claw to remove the front seat inner cushion shield LH.
REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  Remove the 2 screws.
2. Detach the 2 hooks.
3. Detach the wire harness clamp and disconnect the connector to remove the front seatback board sub-assembly LH.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
1. Detach the 2 claws to remove the No. 6 air duct.
2. Remove the 3 screws and disconnect the duct of the seat climate control blower LH.
3. Disconnect the connector.
4. Detach the 4 claws to disconnect the duct of the seat climate control blower LH.
5. Disconnect the connector and detach the wire harness clamp.
6. Disconnect the connector and detach the wire harness clamp.
7. Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.
8. Remove the 2 clips.
9. Detach the hook.

  Detach the hook and remove the 4 bolts to remove the front seat cushion assembly LH.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
1. w/ Active Headrest, w/ Pre-crash Intelligent Headrest:
  1. Remove the 2 pins and front seat headrest assembly.
    
    Note
    
    w/ Active Headrest:
    
    When replacing a deployed active headrest inflator, always replace it together with the front seat headrest assembly.
2. w/ Retractable Headrest:
  
  Pull up the front seat headrest assembly to remove it.
  
  Note
  
  As the front seat headrest assembly is tightly fitted to the seat, be careful not to damage the seat when removing the front seat headrest assembly.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
1. Detach the 4 claws to remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.
REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Shoulder Switch)
1. Detach the 2 claws.
2. Disconnect the connector to remove the power seat switch assembly.
REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD
1. Remove the bolt to detach the front seatback cover bracket.
2. Remove the 3 clips.
3. Detach the 9 hooks to remove the seatback cover with pad from the front seat seatback frame assembly LH.
REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK FRAME ASSEMBLY LH
1. for Driver Side:
  1. w/ Active Headrest:
    
    Disconnect the 4 connectors and detach the 9 clamps.
  2. w/ Pre-crash Intelligent Headrest:
    
    Disconnect the 4 connectors and detach the 9 clamps.
2. for Front Passenger Side:
  1. w/ Active Headrest:
    
    Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the 9 clamps.
  2. w/ Pre-crash Intelligent Headrest:
    
    Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the 9 clamps.
  3. w/ Retractable Headrest:
    
    Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 7 clamps.
3. Remove the 4 bolts and front seat seatback frame assembly LH.

REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

except Sport Package:

Remove the 20 hog rings and separate type front seatback cover.

for Sport Package:

Detach the 4 pieces of fastening tape to remove the 20 hog rings and separate type front seatback cover.
