REAR SEAT CUSHION HEATER (for Ottoman) INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER LH


    1. Set the separate type rear seat cushion cover LH in place.

      *1 Hog Ring Pliers

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type rear seat cushion cover LH to the rear seat cushion pad LH with 15 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type rear seat cushion cover LH.

      • shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type rear seat cushion cover LH.

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER RH


    1. Set the separate type rear seat cushion cover RH in place.

    2. Attach the 10 claws to install the separate type rear seat cushion cover RH to the rear seat cushion pad RH.

    3. Attach the 2 pieces of fastening tape.

    4. Using hog ring pliers, install 18 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type rear seat cushion cover RH.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type rear seat cushion cover RH.

  3. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Set the rear seat cushion spring assembly LH in place.

    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the rear seat cushion spring assembly LH to the rear seat cushion pad LH with 22 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the rear seat cushion cover with pad LH.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the rear seat cushion cover with pad LH.

  4. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY RH

    *2 Hog Ring Pliers

    1. Set the rear seat cushion spring assembly RH in place.

    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the rear seat cushion spring assembly RH to the rear seat cushion cover with pad RH with 19 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the rear seat cushion cover with pad RH.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the rear seat cushion cover with pad RH.

    3. Attach the 2 hooks and install the clip.

  5. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GWEX

      Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the rear hook of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to the rear seatback frame assembly LH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    3. Attach the 2 front hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly.

  6. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    2. Operate the ottoman switch to move the ottoman to the return position.

    3. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

      *2 Nut
      *3 Rear Seat Cushion Lock Hook
      *4 Rear Hook

      Connect the connector.

    5. Attach the rear hook of the rear seat cushion assembly RH to the rear seatback spring assembly RH.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    6. Attach the 2 front hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly RH to the the rear No. 1 seat adjuster assembly.

    7. Connect the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks.

    8. Connect the seat cushion ottoman part with the 2 nuts.

    9. Install the 2 seat cushion cover hooks.
