REAR POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman) INSTALLATION

INSTALL REAR SEAT WIRE LH
1. Attach the 11 wire harness clamps to install the rear seat wire LH.
2. Connect the 3 connectors.
INSTALL REAR SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH

1. Install the rear seatback climate control blower LH with the 2 screws.
2. Install the 3 nuts.
3. Connect the 3 connectors and attach the wire harness clamp.
4. Install a new felt pad.

INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD LH

Using hog ring pliers, install the rear seatback cover with pad to the rear seatback spring assembly LH with 19 new hog rings.
Note
- Be careful not to damage the rear seatback cover with pad.
- Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the rear seatback cover with pad.
Attach the 8 hooks.
Connect the connector.

Attach the seatback cover bracket with the nut.

Torque:: 5.6 N*m { 57 kgf*cm, 50 in.*lbf }

INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK BASE LH
1. Install the rear seat lock base LH with the 3 screws.
INSTALL REAR SEAT COVER CAP LH
1. Attach the 5 claws to install the rear seat cover cap LH.
INSTALL REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH
1. Install the rear seat climate control ECU LH with the 2 nuts.
2. Connect the 2 connectors.
INSTALL POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
1. Install the position control ECU assembly with the 2 nuts.
2. Connect the 2 connectors.

  Use the same procedure to install the position control ECU assembly on the other side.
INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE LH
1. Install the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH with the 3 screws.
INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Attach the 2 claws to install the rear No. 1 seat headrest adjuster sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.
2. Connect the 2 connectors and attach the wire harness clamp.
INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
1. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 rear seat headrest supports.

  Use the same procedure to install the rear seat headrest support on the other side.
INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
1. Install the rear seat headrest assembly LH with the 2 pins.
  
  Tech Tips
  
  Use the same procedure to install the rear seat headrest assembly on the other side.
INSTALL SUB SEATBACK PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Attach the 4 clamps to install the lower part of the sub seatback plate sub-assembly.
2. Attach the 2 hose clamps to connect the air hose.
3. Attach the 2 clamps to install the upper part of the sub seatback plate sub-assembly.
4. Attach the 2 claws to connect the 2 air hoses.
INSTALL REAR SEAT WIRE RH
1. Attach the wire harness clamps to install the rear seat wire RH.
2. Connect the 3 connectors.

INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD RH

Set the rear seatback cover with pad RH in place.
Attach the 7 hooks.
Using hog ring pliers, install the rear seatback cover with pad RH to the rear seatback spring assembly RH with 20 new hog rings.
Note
- Be careful not to damage the rear seatback cover with pad RH.
- Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the rear seatback cover with pad RH.
Connect the connector.

Attach the seatback cover bracket with the nut.

Torque:: 5.6 N*m { 57 kgf*cm, 50 in.*lbf }

1. Install the rear seat climate control blower LH with the 3 nuts.

1. Attach the 2 claws to connect the seat climate control controller LH.
2. Install the 2 screws.
3. Connect the 2 connectors and attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
4. Install a new rear No. 2 seat cushion pad.
INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT INNER ANCHOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY LH
1. Install the rear seat belt inner anchor bracket assembly LH with the nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  21 N*m { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the air duct to the vehicle body.
2. Install the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly with the 4 bolts and nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  for bolt A
  
  42 N*m { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
  
  except bolt A
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

INSTALL REAR SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH

2. Connect the connector.

1. Connect the air duct to the vehicle body.
2. Install the rear No. 1 seat adjuster assembly with the 4 bolts and nut.

  42 N*m { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
  
  except bolt A
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
INSTALL REAR SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH
1. Install the rear seat airbag assembly RH with the 3 bolts.
  
  Torque:
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
2. Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.
INSTALL REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST ASSEMBLY (w/ Center Seat)
1. Connect the 2 connectors.
2. Install the rear seat center armrest assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
3. Attach the hook to the center seatback frame wire.
4. Attach the 2 clips to install the rear seat armrest hole board.
5. While pressing the button, lower the rear center seat headrest assembly.
6. Raise the rear seat center armrest assembly.
INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
1. Connect the rear seatback assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seatback adjuster assembly, and press down on the rear seatback assembly LH to install it to the rear No. 2 seatback adjuster assembly. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle body.
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
2. Install the rear seatback assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seatback adjuster assembly with the 2 nuts.
  
  Torque:
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
3. Install the clip and attach the 3 pieces of fastening tape.

4. Connect the 3 connectors and attach the 7 wire harness clamps.
5. Connect the 2 connectors.
6. Install the junction block with the bolt.
  
  Torque:
  
  30 N*m { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }
7. Connect the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH to the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.
8. Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 caps.

INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

Connect the rear seatback assembly RH to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly, and press down on the rear seatback assembly RH to install it to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle body.

Note

Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Install the rear seatback assembly RH to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly with the 2 nuts.

Torque:

20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
Attach the clip and 3 pieces of fastening tape.

Attach the 2 claws to connect the air hose.

Install the nut.
Connect the 3 connectors and attach the 6 wire harness clamps.
Connect the 3 connectors.
Install the junction block with the bolt.

Torque:

30 N*m { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }
Install the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly RH to the rear seat shoulder belt guide RH.
Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 caps.

Connect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly RH with the bolt.

Torque:

42 N*m { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

Note

Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly RH to overlap protruding parts of the floor panel.

INSTALL REAR CENTER SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (w/ Center Seat)
1. Attach the rear hook of the center seat cushion assembly to the center seatback frame sub-assembly.
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
2. Attach the front hook of the rear center seat cushion assembly to the vehicle body.
INSTALL REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX (w/ Rear Console Box)

INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
1. Connect the connector.
2. Attach the rear hook of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to the rear seatback frame assembly LH.
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
3. Attach the 2 front hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly.

INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH

Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
Operate the ottoman switch to move the ottoman to the return position.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

Connect the connector.

Attach the rear hook of the rear seat cushion assembly RH to the rear seatback spring assembly RH.

Note

Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Attach the 2 front hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly RH to the the rear No. 1 seat adjuster assembly.
Connect the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks.
Connect the seat cushion ottoman part with the 2 nuts.
Install the 2 seat cushion cover hooks.

CONNECT CABLE TO AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
