REAR POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Click here.


  1. INSTALL REAR SEAT WIRE LH


    1. A01GXEE

      Attach the 11 wire harness clamps to install the rear seat wire LH.

    2. Connect the 3 connectors.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH

    1. Install the rear seatback climate blower LH with the 2 screws.

    2. Install the 3 nuts.

    3. Connect the 3 connectors and attach the wire harness clamp.

    4. Install a new felt pad.

  3. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD LH


    1. Set the rear seatback cover with pad LH in place.

    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the rear seatback cover with pad LH to the rear seatback spring assembly LH with 19 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the rear seatback cover with pad LH.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the rear seatback cover with pad LH.

    3. Attach the 8 hooks.

    4. Connect the connector.

    5. Attach the seatback cover bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.6 N*m  { 57 kgf*cm, 50 in.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK BASE LH


    1. A01H0K4

      Install the rear seat lock base LH with the 3 screws.

  5. INSTALL REAR SEAT COVER CAP LH

      Attach the 5 claws to install the rear seat cover cap LH.

  6. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the guide to install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

    2. Connect the connector.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the seat heater control sub-assembly on the other side.

  7. INSTALL REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH

    1. Install the rear seat climate control ECU LH with the 2 nuts.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

  8. INSTALL POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the position control ECU assembly with the 2 nuts.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the position control ECU assembly on the other side.

  9. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE LH

    1. Install the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH with the 3 screws.

  10. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01GX1O

      Attach the 2 claws to install the rear No. 1 seat headrest adjuster sub-assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors and attach the wire harness clamp.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the rear No. 1 seat headrest adjuster sub-assembly on the other side.

  11. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 rear seat headrest supports.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to install the rear seat headrest support on the other side.

  12. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the rear seat headrest assembly with the 2 pins.

      Use the same procedure to install the rear seat headrest assembly on the other side.

      Connect the connector.

  21. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH

      Attach the claws to connect the seat climate control controller LH.

    2. Install the 2 screws.

    3. A01H0FQ

      Connect the 2 connectors and attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    4. A01GYB6

      Install a new rear No. 2 seat cushion pad.

  22. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT INNER ANCHOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Install the rear seat belt inner anchor bracket assembly LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  23. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01GWCGE01

      Connect the air duct to the vehicle body.

    2. Install the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly with the 4 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      for bolt A
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
      except bolt A
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      Connect the anchor part of the rear center seat outer belt with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the rear center seat outer belt to overlap the protruding part of the anchor bracket.

  27. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

      Connect the air duct to the vehicle body.

    2. Install the rear No. 1 seat adjuster assembly with the 4 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      for bolt A
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
      except bolt A
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  28. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  29. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Connect the rear seatback assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seatback adjuster assembly, and press down on the rear seatback assembly LH to install it to the rear No. 2 seatback adjuster assembly. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Install the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    3. Install the clip and attach the 3 pieces of fastening tape.

      Connect the 3 connectors and attach the 7 wire harness clamps.

    5. A01GYN6

      Connect the 2 connectors.

    6. Install the junction block with the bolt.

      Torque:
      30 N*m  { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }

      Connect the seat belt to the shoulder belt guide.

    8. Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 caps.

      Connect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly to overlap protruding parts of the floor panel.

  30. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  31. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GWEX

      Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the rear hook of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    3. Attach the 2 front hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly.

  32. CONNECT CABLE TO AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  33. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
