REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM Rear Power Seat does not Operate with Rear Power Seat Switch

DESCRIPTION

Rear power seat switch signals are sent to the position control ECU through the LIN line. The position control ECU then operates each motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK REAR POWER SEAT MODULE SWITCH (RIGHT / LEFT SELECTION SWITCH)


    1. When the rear power seat switch's right / left selection switch is operated, check that the indicator illuminates.

      OK
      Indicator illuminates.

  2. CHECK REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL FUNCTION


    1. Operate the rear power seat switch and check that each power seat function operates normally.

  3. INSPECT FUSE


    1. Inspect the fuse on the side that is not operating.


      1. Remove the RL SEAT fuse*1 from the luggage room junction block, or the RR SEAT fuse*2 from the passenger side junction block.

        Tech Tips

        *1: for LH side

        *2: for RH side

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        RL SEAT fuse Always Below 1 Ω
        RR SEAT fuse Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU - BATTERY)

      Check the ECU on the side that is not operating.


      1. for LH Side:

        Disconnect the f24 ECU connector.

      2. for RH Side:

        Disconnect the f4 ECU connector.

      3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the rear power seat module switch.
