POWER MIRROR CONTROL SYSTEM Reverse Shift-linked Function of Power Mirrors does not Operate

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

When the reverse signal is sent from the hybrid vehicle control ECU through the CAN communication line to the front door ECU LH and RH, the front door ECU LH and RH activate the outer rear view mirror LH and RH reverse shift-linked function.

Tech Tips

The reverse shift-linked function will not occur when the mirror master switch is in the neutral position (OFF).

  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Use the intelligent tester to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

  2. CHECK OUTER MIRROR SWITCH FUNCTION (POWER MIRROR CONTROL FUNCTION)


    1. Check that the outer rear view mirror LH and RH can be moved using the outer mirror switch.

  3. CHECK OPERATION OF SHIFT INDICATOR


    1. Check that the shift indicator of the combination meter operates normally.

  4. CHECK FRONT DOOR ECU (OPERATION)


    1. Replace the front door ECU with a new one or normally operating one, and check if the malfunction disappears.
