POWER MIRROR CONTROL SYSTEM Power Mirror Surface Position is not Memorized

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The outer rear view mirror assembly has a mirror position sensor. The seat ECUs send instructions to the driver side and front passenger side door ECUs. Then the door ECUs receive mirror information from the mirror position sensors, and memorize the mirror positions.

   1. Use the intelligent tester to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

   1. Check that the driver side seat can be moved using the seat memory switch.

   CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (REGISTRATION OF SEAT MEMORY SWITCH)

   
   

   1. Check that the memory operation is properly completed.

      Note:
      

      • The seat position will not be recorded if the SET switch and 2 or more of the memory switches (for example, M1 and M2) are pressed simultaneously.

      • If the operation fails, the mirror facing direction will not be memorized until the SET switch is turned off.

      • The mirror facing direction will not be memorized when the mirror is operated manually.
