DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored if the multi-media module receiver assembly judges that the signals or lines between the multi-media module receiver assembly and the television camera assembly are not normal as a result of its self check.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note:
  • When "System initializing" is displayed on the accessory meter assembly after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point (Click here).

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed (Click here).

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - LUGGAGE ELECTRICAL KEY SWITCH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the L164 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the S101 luggage electrical key switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      L164-12 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-18 (V+) - S101-7 (CV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-19 (V-) - S101-2 (CV-) Always Below 1 Ω

      L164-40 (CGND) - S101-1 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω

      Reconnect the multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Check the waveform of the television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.

      The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the television camera assembly.
