PARKING ASSIST MONITOR SYSTEM HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the parking assist monitor system.

  • *: Use the GTS.


  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE


    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the power switch off.

      Standard voltage
      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

  3. CHECK IF SAME SYMPTOM APPEARS IN OTHER SYSTEM

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*


    1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

  5. CHECK FOR DTC*


    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.

      Note

      The multi-media module receiver assembly outputs DTCs for the following systems. When DTCs other than those in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the parking assist monitor system are output, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the relevant systems.
