NAVIGATION SYSTEM Pointer not Displayed on Screen or Pointer does not Move

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Navigation System Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK REMOTE TOUCH SWITCH (OPERATION CHECK)


    1. Enter the "Remote Touch Switch Check" screen. Refer to Check Remote Touch Switch in Operation Check Click here.

    2. Move the remote touch switch knob and press the switch knob at any blank space on the screen to display the "+" mark.

      Tech Tips


      • The "+" mark will be displayed at the point where the switch knob was pressed.

      • Even if the pointer is moved, the "+" mark will remain at the position where the pointer was when the switch knob was pressed.

      Main Screen Check:

      Move the pointer to any position using the remote touch switch knob and press the switch knob again. When the location of the pointer is changed with the switch knob held, check that the coordinate value "X" changes between 0 and 255 and "Y" changes between 1 and 255.

      Side Screen Check:

      Move the pointer to any position using the remote touch switch knob and press the switch knob again. When the location of the pointer is changed with the switch knob held, check that the coordinate value "X" changes between 102 and 255 and "Y" changes between 1 and 255.

      Full Screen Check:

  2. REMOTE TOUCH SELF CHECK (REMOTE TOUCH SWITCH KNOB POSITION RECOGNITION CHECK)


    1. Activate self check mode Click here.

      1. Move the remote touch switch knob from the lower left to the upper right to check that the brightness of the switch illumination changes.

        Tech Tips


        • If the brightness changes according to remote touch switch knob operation, the knob position is being recognized normally.

        • When the switch illumination blinks, the remote touch has stored a DTC.

  3. REPLACE REMOTE TOUCH (REMOTE OPERATION BOARD)


    1. Replace the remote touch (remote operation board) with a new or known good one Click here.

    2. Check that the pointer is displayed and moves normally.
