DESCRIPTION

The accessory meter assembly and multi-media module receiver assembly are connected by an AVC-LAN communication line.

When an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the multi-media module receiver assembly and accessory meter assembly, these DTCs will be stored.

  • *: Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the auxiliary battery condition or hybrid control system start voltage.

  • The multi-media module receiver assembly is the master unit.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the accessory meter assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L163-13 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      L163-12 (+B2) - L163-13 (GND1) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      L163-23 (IG) - L163-13 (GND1) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the L164 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the L163 accessory meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L164-45 (TX3+) - L163-7 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-46 (TX3-) - L163-19 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-45 (TX3+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L164-46 (TX3-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. REPLACE ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the accessory meter assembly with a new or normally functioning one Click here.
