DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored when communication between the multi-media module receiver assembly and remote touch or accessory meter assembly is not possible.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Navigation System Click here.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY - REMOTE TOUCH [REMOTE OPERATION BOARD])


    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    2. Disconnect the L163 accessory meter assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the L169 remote touch (remote operation board) connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      L163-16 (WUO) - L169-13 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L163-15 (WUI) - L169-12 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L163-16 (WUO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REMOTE TOUCH [REMOTE OPERATION BOARD] - MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    2. Disconnect the L164 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the L169 remote touch (remote operation board) connector.

    4. Disconnect the L163 accessory meter assembly connector.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      L164-3 (CNH1) - L169-5 (MO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L164-4 (CNL1) - L169-4 (MO-) Always Below 1 Ω

        Tech Tips

        When the power switch is turned on (ACC), feedback force is generated. When the power switch is turned off, feedback force is not generated, and the remote touch switch knob will move freely.
