REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

Tech Tips


  • Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the rear seat entertainment system.

  • *: Use the GTS.


  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP


    NEXT

  2. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE


    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage.

      Standard voltage
      11 to 14 V (power switch off)

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

  3. CHECK FOR DTC*


    1. Refer to DTC Check / Clear Click here.

      Tech Tips

      If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after checking for DTCs using the GTS Click here.

  4. CLEAR DTC*


    1. Clear the DTCs and finish diagnostic mode.

      Tech Tips

      The current DTCs may not indicate actual malfunctions depending on the vehicle operating conditions.

    1. Recheck for DTCs.

      Result

      Tech Tips


      • Even if the malfunction symptom cannot be confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores past DTCs.

      • If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after rechecking for DTCs using the GTS Click here.

      • Note the DTC and inspect the area the code indicates.

  6. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART


    1. Find the output code in the diagnostic trouble code chart Click here.

      Note

      The rear seat entertainment system outputs DTCs for the following systems. When DTCs other than those in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the rear seat entertainment system are output, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the relevant system.


      • Navigation system

      • Parking assist monitor system

      • Audio and visual system)

      • Telematic transceiver system

      Result
