DESCRIPTION

The clock assembly and multi-media module receiver assembly are connected by the AVC-LAN communication line.

When an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the clock assembly and multi-media module receiver assembly, these DTCs will be stored.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
B1568 A device that is listed in the AVC-LAN connected device record of the master unit is missing.
  • Clock assembly

  • Accessory meter assembly

  • Harness or connector

Tip:

Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  1. Click here

    CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).


  2. Click here

    CHECK DTC


    1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again (Click here).

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  3. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLOCK ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the clock assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L161-7 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L161-5 (B) - L161-7 (E) Always 11 to 14 V
      L161-10 (ACC) - L161-7 (E) Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLOCK ASSEMBLY - ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the L161 clock assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the L163 accessory meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L161-3 (TX+1) - L163-5 (TX2+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L161-2 (TX-1) - L163-17 (TX2-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L161-3 (TX+1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L161-2 (TX-1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. Click here

    CHECK CLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the clock assembly with a new or normally functioning one (Click here).


  6. Click here

    CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).


  7. Click here

    CHECK DTC


    1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again (Click here).

      No DTCs are output.
