DESCRIPTION

B2768

If one of the following is detected:


  • Tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor) power supply malfunction

  • Tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor) open malfunction

  • EEPROM malfunction


  • Tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor)

  • Certification ECU

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • If the certification ECU is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

  • When replacing the tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor), perform zero point calibration Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG), then off.

    3. Set the theft deterrent system to "ARMED STATE".

    4. Check that the security indicator changes from illuminated to blinking.

    5. Set the theft deterrent system to "DISARMED STATE".

    6. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2768 is not output.

    NG
    OK
  2. REPLACE TILT SENSOR (YAW RATE SENSOR)


    1. Temporarily replace the tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor) with a new or normally functioning one Click here.


    NEXT
  3. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG), then off.

    3. Set the theft deterrent system to "ARMED STATE".

    4. Check that the security indicator changes from illuminated to blinking.

    5. Set the theft deterrent system to "DISARMED STATE".

    6. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2768 is not output.
