FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

  3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

  4. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)


    1. A01GXQQ

      Detach the 2 clips and remove the deck trim side board LH.

  5. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

      *1 Fastening Tape

      Detach the clip, fastening tape and remove the battery service hole cover LH.

  6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP LH


    1. Operate the power seat switch assembly (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.

      Detach the 4 claws and guide to remove the seat belt anchor cover cap LH by pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

  8. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the anchor part of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate LH.

    2. Using moulding remover D, detach the 4 clips.

      Detach the 7 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  12. REMOVE CENTER LOWER PILLAR GARNISH LH

    1. Detach the 2 claws and 6 clips, and remove the center lower pillar garnish LH.

  13. REMOVE CENTER UPPER PILLAR GARNISH LH

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the claw, guide and remove the center upper pillar garnish LH.

    3. Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the center upper pillar garnish LH.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE

    1. Remove the 2 screws and front seat shoulder belt guide.

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly.

    2. A01H1ORE01

      Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to release the lock, and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration labeled A.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. w/ Tension Reducer System:

      Disconnect the tension reducer connector labeled B.

    4. w/ Pre-crash Safety System:

      Disconnect the pre-crash safety connector labeled C.

      Remove the 2 bolts and front seat outer belt assembly LH.

  16. REMOVE HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE ANCHOR MOTOR LH


    1. A01GZP6

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and pull the height adjustable anchor motor LH downward to remove it from the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly as shown in the illustration.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
