REAR AIRBAG SENSOR INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

INSTALL REAR AIRBAG SENSOR
1. Check that the power switch is off.
2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the battery negative (-) terminal.
  
  CAUTION:
  
  Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
3. Install the rear airbag sensor with the bolt.
  
  Torque:
  
  9.0 N*m { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }
  CAUTION:
  
  If the rear airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.
  
  When installing the rear airbag sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
4. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the rear airbag sensor.
5. Connect the connector.
INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH
1. Attach the 6 claws to install the rear seat side garnish LH.
INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
1. Attach the 3 clips.
2. Attach the 7 claws to install the rear door scuff plate LH.
INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)
Note

Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
1. Set the bench type rear seatback assembly in place.
2. Connect the rear center armrest assembly connector.
3. Attach the 2 hooks on the backside of the bench type rear seatback assembly.
4. Install the 4 bolts and nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
5. w/ Seat Heater System:
  1. Connect the connector.
  2. Install the junction block with the bolt.
    
    Torque:
    
    30 N*m { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }
6. Attach the hook to the rear seat armrest hole board. Then attach the 2 clips to install the rear seat armrest hole board.
7. While pressing the button, raise the rear center seat headrest assembly.
8. Raise the rear center armrest assembly.
9. Connect the rear seat outer belt to the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
  
  Tech Tips
  
  Use the same procedure to connect the rear seat outer belt on the other side.
10. Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 caps of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
  
  Tech Tips
  
  Use the same procedure to close the 2 caps on the other side.
11. Connect the 2 seat belt anchors of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly LH and rear seat 3 point type belt assembly RH with the 2 bolts and connect the seat belt anchor of the rear center seat outer belt assembly with the nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  42 N*m { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)

INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)
1. Connect the rear seatback assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seatback adjuster assembly, and press down on the rear seatback assembly LH to install it to the rear No. 2 seatback adjuster assembly. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle body.
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
2. Install the 2 nuts.
  
  Torque:
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
3. Install the clip and attach the 3 pieces of fastening tape.

4. Connect the 3 connectors and attach the 7 wire harness clamps.
5. Connect the 2 connectors.
6. Install the junction block with the bolt.
  
  Torque:
  
  30 N*m { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }
7. Connect the seat belt to the shoulder belt guide.
8. Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 caps.

  Connect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly with the bolt.
  
  Torque:
  
  42 N*m { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
  
  Note
  
  Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly to overlap protruding parts of the floor panel.
INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)

Note

Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
1. Set the bench type rear seat cushion assembly in place.

  *A w/ Seat Heater System
  
  w/ Seat Heater System:
  
  Connect the 2 connectors.
3. Attach the 2 rear hooks of the bench type rear seat cushion assembly to the bench type rear seatback assembly.
4. Attach the 3 front hooks to install the bench type rear seat cushion assembly.
5. Confirm that the bench type rear seat cushion assembly is firmly installed.
  
  Note
  
  When installing the bench type rear seat cushion assembly, make sure the seat belt buckle is not under the bench type rear seat cushion assembly.
INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)

INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)
1. Connect the connector.
2. Attach the rear hook of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly.
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
3. Attach the 2 front hooks of the rear seat cushion assembly LH to the rear No. 2 seat adjuster assembly.
CONNECT CABLE TO AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

  Attach the battery service hole cover LH with the clip and fastening tape.
INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)
1. Attach the 2 clips to install the deck trim side board LH.

INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)
