B2090 Driving Support System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU receives collision information from the driving support ECU and skid control ECU via CAN communication, and tightens the seat belt by operating the motor inside the front seat outer belt assembly.

When the driving support ECU detects a malfunction in the dynamic radar cruise control system, lane-keeping assist system and pre-crash safety system ("Pre-Crash 2" part), or detects that the object recognition camera has not been adjusted, the malfunction information is sent to the seat belt control ECU, which outputs this DTC.

When DTC B2090 is detected, other DTCs output by the driving support ECU (dynamic radar cruise control system, lane-keeping assist system, pre-crash 2, and active headrest RH/LH) are also output.

Tech Tips

If the object recognition camera is replaced with a new one and the adjustment of the object recognition camera has not been performed, DTC B2090 is output.

Tech Tips

When clearing the DTCs, first clear the DTC output from the driving support ECU, and then clear the DTC output from the seat belt control ECU.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (DRIVING SUPPORT SYSTEM)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, enter the following menus: Body or Powertrain / Pre-Crash2, Radar Cruise or Lane Keeping Assist. Then select "DTC".

    2. Check for DTCs.

    3. Recheck for DTC.
