DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU receives collision information from the driving support ECU and skid control ECU via CAN communication, and tightens the seat belt by operating the motor inside the front seat outer belt assembly.

When DTC B2001 is detected, DTCs B2015, B2026, and B2027 will not be detected.

When DTC B2006 is detected, DTCs B2020, B2031, and B2032 will not be detected.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

CAUTION:

The pretensioner is built into the front seat outer belt assembly. Be sure to follow the correct inspection procedure, as failure to follow the correct procedure (such as inspection of incorrect connectors) may activate the pretensioner.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU

    A01H0LEE06

    1. Disconnect the S45 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      for LH
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S45-3 (MOL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      S45-4 (MOL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RH
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S45-2 (MOR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      S45-1 (MOR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)

    1. Disconnect the S4*1 and R2*2 belt connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
